Athena is an incoming junior at her high school in California! She's involved in choir and loves music in general. Some of her favorite pastimes include messing around with music on her guitar and making playlists for others who are looking for new music recommendations! If she's not messing around with music she's out thrifting.
TB: What do you do when you go thrifting?
A: I usually go out thrifting [to] buy a bunch of accessories and new funky clothes [that] I can work with to make new outfits. Mixing and matching accessories is something I enjoy because you can add so much to an outfit with a simple necklace or a hair clip.
TB: What are some things that inspire your fashion sense?
A: A bunch of stuff on my explore page on instagram are things that inspire me! Especially small clothing businesses that are advertised on instagram! I tend to look at [the posts on my explore page] and wonder how I [can] turn [the outfits and articles of clothing advertised] into my own and style it. Lately I've been looking at @nailadevora and @yazcaramanli_ and a ton of other creators [on instagram] for inspo.
TB: How would you describe your style?
A: I personally don't know how to describe my style, [and] to be honest it changes every week. One week I would want to be wearing a little black dress and the next [week I] would be wearing a skirt with a baggy crew neck. It really just depends on the weather. :#)
TB: Where are your favorite places to shop?
A: I usually thrift! There's so much you can work with when you thrift. Even though there's some days you won't find anything [there] are other days you can find total steals, and it's definitely worth it.
